Kennel decking is a great option if you need something portable to keep in the floor of your kennel. It is compact, hardy, fairly lightweight and comes in specifically sized pieces. Of course, you should make sure when you buy it that you measure your kennel area first so you know how much kennel decking to get. It is hard to trim it, so if they don't have something exactly the right size, you are almost better off getting something a little smaller and then using another material to fill in the gaps.
The nice thing about kennel decking, too, is that it raises your dog up off the ground. This is great, especially in winter when laying on the cold hard earth can be quite uncomfortable for your dog. It's also a lot easier to keep your dog clean when it is raised up off the ground too--no more laying around in mud!

Most of the kennel decking you buy is made from hard plastic, or PVC type material. This makes it extremely easy to clean, you just have to hose or spray it off, or if really dirty you can give it a good scrub with a scrub brush. Because it is very hardy, it is also great if you have a dog that loves to chew things. I've actually had a dog that chewed up her entire kennel (made from wood, with plastic roofing) or at least all the little parts that stuck out. She was never able to get ahold of the kennel decking though :-)
