Why Portable Kennel Flooring

If you ever travel with your dogs, or take them on vacation, or even if you are the sort of person that loves to work in the yard and landscape, I think you will agree with me that having a portable kennel and thus portable kennel flooring is a great idea.

There are times, perhaps relating to the seasons for example, when you may want to move your dog kennel from one location to another. We normally have our kennel on the other side of the garage, for example, where we don't have to hear all the whines, and the occasional barking so much. But when our dog was about ready to whelp we were very pleased that we could move the whole kennel set up closer to the home so that we could keep a better eye on her, and then on her and her puppies once they were born. She seemed to like being closer to us too, I think it made her more secure.

We also like the option of being able to move our kennel around in bad weather. We get terrible rainstorms here sometimes, it gets dangerously windy though not as bad as a cyclone, thank goodness. In any case, whenever there's a big storm blowing in we usually move the kennel around the sheltered side of the garage and have, on occasion, actually moved the whole kennel into the garage to shelter the dogs from the storm.

If you go to all the trouble of making your kennel somewhat portable or at least make it so you can relocate it, you may as well invest in portable kennel flooring as well. There are lots of different types of flooring that could be considered portable. My personal favorite happens to be kennel decking, but of course there are other options too.
